Often, life throws us curveballs. We may find ourselves in less-than-desirable situations that inconvenience us. Other times, we may find that a problem has turned into a full-blown 4-alarm fire, and everything around us seems to be burning to the ground. Yet, Proverbs 3:5-6 gives us instructions when facing any challenge or crisis life brings. It reads:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This verse emphasizes the importance of trusting in God wholeheartedly, relying on his wisdom rather than solely on our understanding. It encourages submission to God in every aspect of life, promising He will guide and direct our paths. Remember, God loves you and will see you through any situation you may be facing.

Do not rely upon your human knowledge or try to “figure it out” alone. Instead, stop, drop, and roll.

1.    Stop worrying,

2.   Drop your problem before God almighty through prayer and petition, and

3.   Roll on with your life, trusting that the Lord will see that your needs are met.

This is not to say that you do not play an essential part in resolving problems that may arise in your life. But the first thing you should always do is pray that God’s will is done, that he gives you wisdom in your situation, and that you submit to him and allow him to lead you through whatever you are facing.
